우리는 왜 눈물을 흘리는 것일까? 눈물이란 것은 우리가 생리적으로 필요한 현상이기 도하지만,정서적인이유로눈물을흘리기도한다.이작업은눈물을흘릴때,감정이 불타올랐던 것에서 영감을 받았다. 뜨거운 눈물이 금방 마르는 모습에서 주제를 양초 라는 소재를 통해 표현해야겠다고 생각했다.

 

작품은 사람 모양, 사람 크기의 양초로 이루어져 있다. 오브제의 모양은 작가의 몸을 직접 본따서 만들었다. 실제 사람 크기의 사람 모양 양초는 전시가 시작되면서 서서 히타없어진다.눈물은우리가무언가를정말사랑하기때문에뜨겁고,또흘리게된 다. 우리는 지금까지 무엇 때문에 눈물을 흘렸는가? 눈물이 뜨거운 이유. 그것은 당신 이 사랑을 하고 있다는 것이다.

 

 

Why do we shed tears? We need tears not only because of physiologi- cal phenomenon but also emotional reasons. This art work is inspired by burning emotion that is came up when we shed tears. Hot tears are dry quickly, and I think it seems like melting candle. So I decided I have to use candle in this work.

 

My art work is human scale and human shape candle. I use plaster to copy my body and I can make the mold of human shape. My candle will be disappear slowly during exhibition.Why do we shed tears? I think because we love something. From making this candle man, I try to understand the human nature. And I want to give big inspiration to visitors from my work.
