세미콜론(;)에서 인간관계에 마침표(.)를 찍지 말고 소통이 회복되어 사람과 사람 사이의 연결 이 다시 시작되는 쉼표(,)를 생각하게 되었고 이 컨셉을 바탕으로 소통의 부재와 이를 극복하고 자 하는 소망을 담아 이 작품을 만들었다.

뒷면의 사진은 사람의 진실된 내면을 의미하는데 이는 가려져서 잘 보이지 않는다. 이는 사람 과사람사이의진심이바로보이지않고왜곡되어서보여질것이고,이것이소통의부재와사 람 사이의 갈등을 낳게 된다는 것을 보여준다. 앞면의 사진도 물과 장애물들로 인해 왜곡되어 보인다.물고기와레고조각은다른사람의말을듣지못한채아무말없이자신의갈길만가 는 현대사회 인간의 이기적인 모습을 의미하며, 사진을 가리는 장애물의 역할을 한다. 하지만 사람들이 거울을 통해서 보이지 않는, 가려진 면들을 보려고 노력하면서 보이지 않는 현실에 무 관심했던 자신을 반성하게 되고, 이는 소통의 회복에 대한 가능성을 보여준다.

 

We made our work based on the concept of semi-colon(;). We thought semi-co- lon as combination of period and comma. We put hope in our work not to put period(.) in relationship among people but to restart connection among human beings as we interpreted comma(;) to reconnection.

In the each box which is full of water, there are two images on the opposite side which have also opposite meaning. We can see outer picture well, but we cannot see the inner one. It is same as our society. We can see the outer appearance , but we couldn’t look in the inner faces. And this makes a lot of troubles related to absence of communication. So, we put mirrors in the box and people can see the inner images through those mirrors. Pictures in 6 boxes show absence of com- munication and problems in modern society. Fish and lego pieces mean modern human as they cannot hear other people’s saying and they keep going on their own way.

However, as people try to see the inner appearances through our work, we hope to reflect on themselves and finally to recover absence of communication.
