사람은 무의식적으로든 의식적으로든 기억하는 존재이다. 사람들의 머릿속에는 많은 기억들 이 들어있다. 그러나 사람들은 시간이 지나면 점점 더 깊은 곳에 기억을 넣어두게 되고 마치 자신들이 기억할 수 없는 것처럼 느낀다.

 

종이컵 안에 있는 사진들은 나 자신의 기억들을 끄집어 내는 역할을 한다. 사진의 내용은 다이어리의 한 문구가 될 수도 있고, 내 어릴적 사진이 될 수도 있으며, 특정 물건을 찍은 사진이 될 수도 있다. 이 작품은 정말로 개인적인 작품이라고 보여질 수도 있지만 반 대로 작품을 바라보는 관람객들 개개인의 기억들을 다시 한번 회상할 수 있게 하는 기회가 될 수도 있다.

 

 

 

People remember everything whether on purpose or not. There are lots of memories in our heads. However, people keep their memo- ries into deeper space as the time flies and they think they can’t remember their past. I want to make them change their cognition.

 

The photos in the paper cups takes out people’s memories. The contents of the photos can be a text from my diary, special stuffs, or photos that I took when I was young. You can think this artwork is really personal, but conversely, you can have a time to remind your personal memories.
