행복한 저녁식사는 테디베어 곰인형 네 개로 구성된 설치작품이다. 곰인형들은 서로 마주 앉 아있지만 테이블 위에 설치되어 테이블을 4등분하는 거울 때문에 서로 얼굴을 볼 수 없다. 행복한 저녁식사는 사람들 사이에서 진정한 관계에 대해 생각해보도록 기획했다. 처음에 영감을 얻은 건 거울이었다. 거울을 보던 중에 양면을 가진 하프미러를 떠올렸다. 하 프미러는 한 면은 평범한 거울이지만 반대 면은 유리처럼 투명해서 거울 쪽 면에 서있는 사 람은 반대편에 사람이 있다는 사실을 알 수 없다. 이처럼 거울을 마주하고 있어서 반대편에 는 사람이 있다는 사실을 알 수 없는 상황이 다른 사람들과의 관계를 나타내는 상징이 될 수 있다는 생각을 했다.

 

Happy dinner describes a dinner of 4 teddy bears. Teddy bears seat facing each other but they can`t see other`s face because of the mirror which divides the table into 4 parts.

The concept of Happy dinner gives a chance to think about what is the real relationship between people. First I thought about the mirror. Mirror reflects oneself who are facing the mirror. Then, suddenly I thought up the half mirror. Half mirror has two sides. One is the ordinary mirror side but the other is the side like a glass. By us- ing half mirror, a man who faces the glass side can watch the other side without the concern of being discovered by someone who fac- es mirror side. While I was looking at the mirror, although it seems that there is no person except me, there can be the person the other side of the mirror. Then I thought again and I concluded that the mirror can represent the obstacle of communication between peo- ple.
